In a bid to raise money for Cancer Research, two teams of Metallisation employees have signed up for the gruelling Cannock Chase Adventure Challenge, which will take place on Saturday 7 December.

The ‘Cannock Chase Calling’ challenge is an action packed, adrenaline fuelled adventure journey for teams of three people, which can be all male, all female or a mix of both. The Metallisation teams aim to raise in excess of £3000 for Cancer Research.  The challenge will be to complete an off road multi-terrain circuit, which includes a 10k trail run, a 25k mountain bike ride and ends with a 1000 metre kayak paddle.

Team one, affectionately named ‘Cerberus’, after the Greek mythological creature, consists of  three of Metallisation’s directors, Jon
Erskine, Operations Director, Pete Silcox, Finance Director and Stuart Milton, Sales and Marketing Director.  Team two, called ‘Make’n’Sell’, consists of Dave Cartwright, Assembly Team Leader, Iain Blacklock, Regional Sales Manager and John Holdsworth, Technical Sales Manager.  Anyone wishing to support the teams by making a donation can do so at http://justgiving.com/metallisation-challenge

Metallisation is one of the leading providers of metal spraying equipment and consumables and continues to buck the economic trend by increasing its exports year on year.  Metallisation has a great product with a diverse portfolio of worldwide distributors and has decided to give something back by committing to this charity challenge.

Stuart Milton says: “This is a great team building opportunity while raising money for a very worthwhile cause.  It isn’t great preparation for our annual staff Christmas party, which is scheduled for that evening, but the lure of a pint of beer at the end of the adventure should spur us on.  All we have to do now is get fit, survive the challenge and raise lots of money – hopefully, we will manage all three!”
