Application Engineering
Our R&D and application engineering team brings decades of thermal spray experience – backed by advanced robotics and manual spray facilities. We work with flame, arc, plasma, HVOF and ID HVOF processes to support a wide range of applications.
We help both new and existing users prove coating requirements, improve processes and develop tailored thermal spray solutions. Our structured approach encompasses requirement identification, feasibility studies, program development, testing, and training or turnkey solutions, all under strict confidentiality.
Our R&D initiatives, often grant-funded and in collaboration with industry and academia, focus on innovation, such as miniaturised in-situ thermal spray repairs for turbine engines (FLARE project) and durable coatings for offshore wind turbines (CROWN project). These efforts reflect our commitment to advancing thermal spray technology and embracing new challenges.
