Protecting Equipment from Wear and Corrosion

Thermal spray coatings create a strong protective layer on the surface of a part (or product), helping it resist against wear, corrosion, and high temperatures. This process allows existing components to last longer and perform more reliably – especially valuable in manufacturing where downtime can quickly become expensive.

Why It Matters

Manufacturing efficiency depends heavily on equipment reliability. When a part prematurely fails, the consequences can ripple through the entire production process. Delays, repair costs, and missed deadlines quickly add up. Thermal spray coatings address this problem at its source by strengthening the surfaces that experience the most strain. Over time, this can lower operational costs and strengthen confidence in the final product.

Common Uses in Manufacturing Applications

Moulds

Moulds used in plastic injection or die casting must withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles. Without protection, their surfaces can crack or wear unevenly, leading to defective products and wasted materials.

Cookware

Pans, trays, and industrial kitchen equipment often need protective surfaces that can withstand heat and regular cleaning. Thermal coatings provide a reliable protective layer that helps the product maintain its performance and appearance over time.

How Does the Coating Process Work?

We use metal and thermal spray technology.

In essence, this involves applying a new protective layer onto the surface of a part. The component is prepared, a coating material is heated and sprayed onto it, and the layer quickly cools to form a tough outer shell.

This helps the part resist wear, heat, and corrosion, allowing it to last longer without needing full replacement.
